The short version

AI Chat Exporter processes everything locally in your browser. Your conversations are never uploaded, transmitted, stored, or seen by us — or by anyone else.

What the extension does

When you click Export, the extension reads the conversation currently visible on the page (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) and converts it into a file (Markdown, TXT, PDF, or Word) directly on your device. The file is saved by your browser to your computer. No copy of your conversation ever leaves your machine.

What we do NOT collect

• No conversation content
• No browsing history
• No analytics or tracking
• No personal information
• No cookies set by us

Payments

Pro features are unlocked through a one-time purchase handled by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as the payment processor. During checkout, ExtensionPay/Stripe process your email address and payment details under their own privacy policies. The extension itself only stores a local flag indicating whether Pro is unlocked (this is what the "storage" permission is for). We never see your payment details.

Permissions explained

• storage — remembers your Pro unlock status locally.
• extensionpay.com access — used only to verify purchase status and open the checkout page.
• Site access (chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com) — required to read the conversation on the page you are viewing so it can be converted into a file. Reading happens only when you click Export.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
